After 20 years of washing I quit a couple years ago. Now after some people asking me to clean their home I'm considering starting back. I am very impressed with the sharing of information and (for me) new ways of doing things. I am very intrested in cleaning my roof. I'm trying to understand the Delevan pump, hose size and tips. What kind of tips are these? What size tank would be needed to clean 2200 sq.ft. home? One more question, On You Tube I watched someone rinse with a ball valve. Could not tell if he had a tip or not. What is the advantage of a ball valve?

The FATBOY 7gpm pump needs LARGE nozzles, hose, wire, battery and switches.
#30 nozzles and 5/8" hose are too small, and are meant for the old 5gpm pump.

Using the #30 nozzle causes the 7gpm pump to max out at 25amps draw and will choke it, running at half speed. These nozzles will quickly kill your pump from excess amperage draw and overheating.

#40 works better but it is still maxing the pump out at 25amps, and chokes your flow running at only 2.5gpm.

Use at least #50 nozzles. This is the smallest nozzle you should use for the new FATBOY. Pump will run much smoother and shoot farther than the old 5gpm pump without maxing the pump out.
Pump performs at 80psi 4gpm drawing 21amps.

#60 nozzles also work well to give you more flow and good distance. Pump runs better than the #50 nozzle but does not give you as much pressure/distance (but it is still good).
Pump performs at 60psi 5gpm drawing 17amps.

Use 3/8" barbs for 40psi 6gpm drawing 13amps.

Use 3/4" hose for the 7gpm FATBOY.

Tank size is up to you, how much roof cleaning do you plan on doing?

40 gallons is the minimum for part time roof cleaning.
125-150 gallons you can do 3-4 roofs per day.
335 gallons for hard core guys like Chris w/Apple Roof Cleaning.

Fat Boy Delevan is all the roof cleaning pump anyone can ask for.
When I started out cleaning roofs in Tampa http://www.brandonsingles.com/brandonoutreach.html 16 years ago, I wish I had one.
