| Most houses I clean have two water hook ups and I don't have a problem running out of water when I hook them both into my 335 gallon tank on my trailer. Today, the house I was working on only had one hook up, and the water pressure was not keeping up with the demand of my 8gpm pressure washer. I just ordered a 3/4" hose reel swivel to try to increase my flow, the one I have on there now is 1/2". 3/4" should help give me more flow, probably not much but every little bit helps. I like the Super Swivels the best. http://www.kleen-ritecorp.com/c-146-swivels-super-swivel.aspx | |

I will! In the past if the water pressure was weak I would just take the hose off the hose reel and put it in the top of the tank to max out the flow. Over the years I have become obsessive about saving time and becoming more efficient. That little bit of time unhooking the hose from the hose reel adds up over the years.

| I changed out my hose reel swivel yesterday.
My old 1/2" swivel looks pathetic! The inside diameter is so small, looks smaller than 3/8". No wonder I was not getting adequate flow.
My new 3/4" swivel is FAT! Nice, big orifice.
I am sure it will most definately help.

| IT DOES HELP! DUH?!?!?!!
I feel like such a numb skull.
All those times I ran out of water and I sat around with my thumb up my a$$ waiting for it to fill back up.
I also realized I need to upgrade my supply hose. I upgraded my roof hose from 5/8" to 3/4" so it would make sense to do the same for my intake....DUH!!!
I don't even have to measure it and I know it makes a difference. I was working on a house right next door to another customer of mine that referred me to his neighbor, and I did not run out of water. I do remember running out when I did the house next door the last time I was there.
ANYONE WITH A HIGH VOLUME MACHINE (8+gpm) must upgrade your hose reel swivel. The miserable 1/2" swivel it comes with is choking your supply!
