Oh jeez, I hate jobs like this. They can't be easily cleaned from the ground like siding. Looks like you'll need a lift, and they aren't cheap. Sunbelt charges about $400/day in Greensboro, NC I'd do it for $.15/sq.ft plus whatever the lift will cost. What is the length and width? It looks about 20' high, is that right?

It is about 30 foot high. There is about 34,942 sq ft of vertical surface to clean. Did some test spots today and it is not coming off very easy. Do you have any experience with this kind of surface?http://www.servimg.com/image_preview.php?i=6&u=12957576 http://www.servimg.com/image_preview.php?i=7&u=12957576

Yes, I've done a couple of jobs like this, not this big though. It looks like moldy concrete. I'd use something similar to apple sauce. Bleach, TSP, surfactant. Mix it stronger than you would for siding and about half as strong as you would a roof. Around 2% sodium hypochlorite plus TSP & surfactant would probably work well. 34,942 sq.ft x $.15/sq.ft = $5241 plus lift cost. I wouldn't go less than $5000 plus the lift cost, or you will really be cussing yourself. These jobs will half kill you. If they try to beat you down on the price, or say some low-baller said he'll do it for $$whatever$$, tell them he can have it.

Yeah, I already decided that I was not gonna let them tell me anything other than "Yes". If they don't like my price I will walk. It is a joke down here with pricing. I carry insurance and workers comp. I can't charge what these other guys do. I got cut on a residential job that had 20,000 sq ft of flat surface. I bid it at .08 sq ft and was cut. I asked the lady to call me once she decides because I only had one opening I could fit her in. She called and told me she had someone bid it for .03 sq ft. For residential. Are you kidding me. That is what is has come to down here. Oh well, as soon as he falls off a ladder, he will own her 1.5 million dollar house.

Spencer, did you try a real strong love ds'ing already? If that doesn't work maybe a good strong mix applied with a sure flow might work followed by just a rinse. I tend to thing if applied correctly all that black mold will dissapear. I would hate to see you have to pw every inch of that thing. Those surfaces are a pain in the ass!

Trust me Larry, I don't want to have to pw the thing. Kory met me out there today and we did some test spots. DSing wouldn't touch it. I think that the sure flo might be what we have to do. Pwing that place would be a nightmare!!! |

Network it and get er done...use Hydrochloric Acid, works great on that type of wall...Make sure you cut it down like Russ did on the BIG Wall job, I belive he used 36% cut 3to1 then downstreamed thru a 20% injector...I have a lift if you need a hand, but hook Larry up with you he's a great guy...$5000.00 sounds very fair for that job..
