The pump pulled water from a supply tank and was attached to each line via a 3/4" x 4' supply hose coming directly out of the pump.

The pump open flowed 14 gpms and had a "static" ...

Here are my experiences with 12V and 115V pumps

1) 12V Shurflo 1.8gpm 60psi. Weakest pump I have used. Painfully slow, does not draw well or shoot very far.

2) 12V Shurflo 1.5gpm 150psi Good pump. Good for decks, fences, trim around houses, small touch up roofs jobs while washing a house, pumps well through 200ft 3/8" hose. Too slow for entire roofs.

3) 115V Shurflo 3.3gpm 50psi. Ok pump, I used it a little while for roofs, ...

Guys, I THINK I have stumbled upon what will be a major advancement in a roof cleaning set up.

Imagine having NEVER to mix your chemicals again ?

Here is how it works on our trucks.

Here at Apple Roof Cleaning we use flatbed trucks.

Previously, we had 500 and 600 gallon tanks, premixed with TSP, Chlorine, and water.

We do from 3 to 5 roofs a day, ...

Apple Cider, unlike Apple Sauce, is not my invention.

It is based on this US Patent Aqueous cleaning composition containing chlorinated bleach, an alcohol and a surfactant - Patent 5376296

It has been field tested by several Beta Testers, and found to be a fast cleaning, easy to make mix.

It's advantages over Apple Sauce are, it is easier and faster to make, and more water soluble.

It's disadvantages are, irritating fumes, and it "burns up the mix" ...

Chris, Sorry I never called you. I ended up pulling the hydrocell off and using a Shur-flo. I pulled the hydracell apart and the diaphrams are bad. I have to try to find parts.

I have all my parts collected for building my new "Roof Machine". Currently, I have the Delavan 5800, 200' of 1/2" hose as my roof machine. I am building a 5hp, 4 roller pump that will give me 9gpm and 200psi. I am looking for hose size recommendations. I'm thinking 3/4" would work good. The pump outlets, plumbing, by-passes are all 3/4", so I really don't see going down in size as an option. What do you guys think?

There is a LOT of good info on these boards, all of them.

If I were a new person seeking knowledge, I would jump all over this old, easily accessible information.

Sometimes, the first board of our Industry, The Delco Board, gets overlooked.

Here is me, and some other Delco people, answering some Tile Roof Cleaning questions about possibly down streaming a Tile Roof.
